Conference Theme (Myanmar, February 2011)

What makes the practice of medicine so exciting is the constant challenges it throws up on a daily basis. We face dilemmas in diagnosis, conflicts in management and challenges in the skills we need to acquire.

As we continue to practice, what becomes abundantly clear is that we need to perfect our skills on a daily basis and need to revamp our proficiency on a regular basis.

Skills in obstetrics and gynaecology need constant acquisition and renewal. As new skill sets get incorporated into our practice, we need to get comfortable with the new and at the same time, relentlessly continue to hone the skills we already have.

Myanmar and India share a wonderful history together. The people of Myanmar and India have many things in common. As physicians from India, we want to strengthen our bonds. We want to share our knowledge with our colleagues in Myanmar.

PROGRESS-MYANMAR 2011 has brought together a group of accomplished specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology to share their expertise and wisdom with us so that we can fine-tune the skills we already possess and learn new and developing techniques.

The Pre-congress Workshop on Obstetric Ultrasound will be held on the 17th of February, 2011. Ultrasound is an integral part of the practice of obstetrics. Expertise in ultrasound adds an immeasurable amount to the decrease in maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality.

The PROGRESS series of conferences has, since its inception in 1993, earned loyal fans from all over India. More than 1000 delegates came to Chennai in 2009 to be a part of this interactive effort at knowledge dissemination and assimilation.

Come, join PROGRESS-Myanmar 2011 to charge your databases and recharge your passion for Obstetrics and Gynaecology!
